Translation: The path of the Great Way is one that is shared by all in the world. It is about selecting the wise and capable, promoting honesty and harmony. Therefore, one should not only favor their own family but also care for others'. The elderly should have a place to spend their final days, the strong should have a purpose, and the young should have opportunities to flourish. The needy, lonely, and disabled should all be supported. By doing so, contentment and abundance will prevail, and harmony will lead to prosperity. Even in small nations with few people, there should still be officials appointed, yet without burdensome regulations. All achievements will be determined by adhering to the principles of the Way.
Pronunciation: Dà dào zhī xíng yě, tiān xià wéi gōng, xuǎn xián yǔ néng, jiǎng xìn xiū mù. Gù rén bù dú qīn qí qīn, bù dú zǐ qí zǐ, shǐ lǎo yǒu suǒ zhōng, zhuàng yǒu suǒ yòng, yòu yǒu suǒ zhǎng, jīn guǎ gū dú fèi jí zhě jiē yǒu suǒ yǎng. Shì rán ér bù qióng, hé qì shēng cái.
